After working full-time in the graphics business,
I started my own graphic design company, Abbey Graphics, in 2001.
Helping companies create their brand through logo design, marketing materials, web design, and photography.
During this time, I thoroughly enjoyed painting
pet portraits. This passion remains today.
Pets are our family. I understand; I am a devoted golden
retriever parent through and through. In 2012,
I decided to focus more on fine art, including gallery shows.
Painting in acrylics, I enjoy creating works that capture nature,
including landscapes, flora, and fauna.
Time in nature is a wonderful way for me to garner reference material. I am fortunate to have Lake Ontario, trails, and forests minutes from my home.
My home away from home is Algonquin Park. It offers not only a chance to immerse myself even further in nature but also an endless supply of creative prompts. I paint what speaks to me. I will often try new brushstrokes to bring to life, for instance, the sun filtering through the trees on a crisp fall day.
I was honoured to have won the Pet Portrait of the Year award through “Light, Space and Time Art Gallery Online Competition”. I have taken part in various art shows and am delighted to say that my pieces have sold to customers across Canada, Europe, Australia, and the USA.
This year, I am profoundly grateful to be celebrating the monumental milestone of 25 years in business. This milestone is thanks to you,
my family, friends, and clients!
For a limited time, from now until
Saturday, February 28, 2026,
I am offering 25% off my hand-painted
acrylic pet portraits.
